Over the years I have scrutinized photos from the concert to see if by chance I could find myself perched on the back of that seat, but no luck. My mother and father did not take any photographs. I do not have a ticket stub or program from the concert. The Beatles performed for only about a half an hour and were then whisked away. Special amplifiers had been designed for this tour, but they weren’t loud enough. My parents claimed they could not hear a single song, and frankly, I don’t think I did either. John, Paul, George and Ringo were there in front of me, singing something I couldn’t hear because everyone was screaming. The stage was a bit far away, and the Beatles looked a bit small, but little Beatles were still the Beatles. Our seats were located somewhere in the vicinity of third base, and this, of course, meant I was somewhat angled closer to Paul, the love of my life at the time, whom I was absolutely, positively, no doubt going to marry one day (I was not the only young girl with that plan). My father, dressed in an impeccable gray suit (this was still a concert, after all), held me up as I balanced myself in my white patent leather shoes on the rim of the seat in front of us. Absolutely no one was sitting down (unless they had fainted). There were 55,600 people in that stadium. Since I was only 8 years old, I was not tall enough to see over the teenagers and twenty-somethings who were now standing and screaming and blocking my view. I will never forget the intensity of the screaming as they made their way onto the stage, and I just screamed my head off with everybody else. When the Beatles came out, there was a tsunami of even more screaming. I don’t really remember Ed either, because when he came out, everyone realized the Beatles were about to appear, and the crowd in the stadium started to stand and there was a lot of noise and movement and anticipatory screaming. There were some opening acts (I can recall nothing about any of them), and then Ed Sullivan came out to introduce the Beatles. My parents gamely purchased tickets, and I now have the coolest possible answer to the question, “What was the first concert you attended?” My mother, an artist (when the Beatles broke up, she was pro-Yoko), thought their hair was quite creative, along with those collarless suits they favored. They were not people who might be expected to attend a rock concert at a baseball stadium, but they found the Beatles rather amusing. They were regular attendees at the Philharmonic, the Metropolitan Opera and Carnegie Hall. My mother and father were serious classical music devotees. (Note: the words “scream,” “screamed” and “screaming” are going to appear here frequently.) It was the last thing I opened, and then I started to scream. I remember noticing it because it was the most boring looking present on the table. The tickets had been in an envelope with a ribbon tied around it mixed in with my other birthday presents.

From here (you can see this in the image included above), you should be able to see what you need to do to possess it. Press RB or R1 to enter the “Kosmetics” tab, and there will be a designated region called “Finishers.” Pick that and then select the locked Fatality. This is usually where you go to switch out skins or change your gear. Head over to the “Kustomize” page from the central menu. Remember that this specific info is hidden somewhere in the game you just have to discover it using your smarts. Navigate to the move list, and you’ll notice that the second Fatality is locked, and there’s sadly no information telling you how you can get it. Keep in mind that you only have access to a single Fatality per character when you begin Mortal Kombat 11, but the good news is, this Fatality isn’t the only one you’ll get throughout each game. Once you have the token, you can perform the easy Fatality you want by holding the right trigger and pressing the button mentioned on the pause menu. These cost Time Krystals, which are awarded through normal play and can separately be purchased for real money. You can also purchase “easy Fatality” tokens via the online store. When you’ve entered it correctly, your controller will vibrate, and you’ll hear a dramatic tune. If it says “Mid,” you should be a few feet away, and if it says “Far,” you should be several yards away. If it says “Close” next to the move, you should be right up against them. If you don’t know the correct button sequence for your character, go to the pause menu and select “move list.” From there, go to the “finishing moves” tab, and your Fatalities will all be listed.Īlongside the button sequence, you have to be standing a certain distance from your target. It would also be really helpful if glyphs without codepoints (like stylistic alts) were included too, like they are in Adobe’s glyph panel. The file may contain only one table of each type, and the type. There is a directory of tables at the start of the file. A TrueType font is a binary file containing a number of tables. The key thing that Lizy is looking for, and that I would agree with, is that the glyph panel should primarily be used to display what’s available in the current font like the Adobe glyph panel, not all of Unicode like the macOS Character Viewer. opentype.js is an OpenType and TrueType font parser. Many fonts these days include UI icons and symbols, ornaments and borders, and other special glyphs that are difficult for designers to discover without a glyph picker in their design software.Īdobe’s glyph panel would be a good model for this, but I could also imagine some features from the macOS Character Viewer being useful, too, like “frequently used”, and the side panel that shows how the selected character looks in other fonts. It’s important because all fonts have different glyph sets, and nobody has a keyboard that can access every glyph in a given font. With a glyphs panel, a designer can see see and use all the designed characters in one spot. For example, many fonts include icons, arrows, or other characters that may not be included or consistent across all of the fonts. This is a feature that needs to be a native feature in the design software, so that designers don’t have to rely on inconsistent plugins or OS apps to pick special characters and glyphs. A glyphs panel allows designers access to all the glyphs available in a font. 4/16/2023 0 Comments Clicktime game google sitesSites gadgets allow you to present multiple pieces of information from external sources (say In Sites might allow collaborators to select from a variety of location-specific calendars. 4/16/2023 0 Comments Guys literally only want one thingThat messaging is really powerful for liberal jurors to hear because they’re already sensing that. I mean, you look at that Ford case, and what the plaintiff’s counsel did really, really effectively in that case was persuade jurors that Ford had ignored an issue for a very long time and essentially had gotten away with it. You have perceptions from many jurors that large corporations got loans that were forgiven by the government during the pandemic, and individual or small business owners did not get those same loans or did not get that same forgiveness.Īnd the sense that corporations get away with all that stuff can really lead to, again, this outrage that is what seems to be the commonality between these verdicts. You have this sense that a lot of corporations did great during the pandemic while individual people were struggling. Another thing to think about in terms of that anti-corporate bias is I think it runs a little bit deeper post-COVID. Again, I think that’s a pretty strong attitude among a lot of liberal jurors these days, is when they have an opportunity to do something, they feel empowered to do it. Feel as though that when they are on a jury panel, they have this duty, this moral obligation, that is their civic duty at that point to provide justice, particularly if they feel as though the system is failing other folks. It doesn’t seem to be just, “I don’t like corporations, therefore I’m going to stick it to them.” I think there’s more going on, particularly as it pertains to the last two years when you’ve got COVID going on, you’ve got the Black Lives Matter movement very prominent within the last two years.Įven something like the recent Supreme Court decision in the Dobbs case, all of those things might be motivating liberal jurors to basically perform justice. But there’s good reason to think that it goes a little bit deeper than that. You think about a place like Travis County, Texas, that is known as a very liberal venue to begin with, and ingrained in that is some anti-corporate bias. A lot of the liberal venues have that in place already. I think one of the biggest ones that, certainly, several of my clients have raised is this idea of an anti-corporate bias. Yeah, I mean, these are all important things that you should be looking for not only prior to jury selection, but then when you show up on the day of jury selection, you should consider them as well. So, of those jurors coming into a case, can you talk about what are the specific ones that attorneys should be looking out for in jury selection? I know you talked about liberal venues, but can you drill down a little more on that process in jury selection? So you mentioned a little bit about jurors attitudes and their beliefs and biases.
